According to Erica Baskin, director of events for Connect Savannah, the festival embraces the city’s reputation as a food-lovers’ haven. “That’s a big part of Savannah,” Baskin shared, adding that “everyone loves to eat and drink.” Her passion for highlighting local gastronomy is at the heart of the event’s mission: “We just want to bring that and showcase… all of the special chefs in town.” With participation from top-tier chefs and restaurants, attendees will enjoy an array of dishes and beverages that reflect Savannah’s unique southern charm and innovative culinary spirit.

Celebrating Local Chefs and Their Cuisine

Mia Mance, executive director of the Downtown Business Association, emphasized the festival’s role in promoting the depth and diversity of Savannah’s restaurant scene. “It spotlights our culinary scene,” she said, noting that the event encourages guests to get to know local chefs on a more intimate level. Diners will have the chance to sample small plates, sip boutique wines, and enjoy inventive pairings—all within a welcoming environment conducive to family gatherings and date day outings.

Mance elaborated on the festival’s inclusive atmosphere: “You’re going to get to know our local chefs a lot more. You’re going to see what their restaurants are doing at a scale where everyone can come out and experience it with the family. Make it a date day.” This communal tone, paired with live music and curated tastings, aims to cultivate a festive, family-friendly experience.

In keeping with Savannah’s community-centered ethos, the festival also incorporates a charitable component. A portion of every ticket sale will be donated to Gilliard & Company, an organization committed to supporting young adults aging out of Georgia’s foster care system.
